Patrick Cooke is a dedicated advocate for Indigenous empowerment and community development, with a rich educational background and a deep commitment to fostering positive change. He holds a Master of Natural Science from Macquarie University, showcasing his academic prowess and dedication to knowledge. Patrick's educational journey also includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in Indigenous Community Management and Development, as well as a prestigious First-Class Honors degree in Indigenous Research from Curtin University. These accomplishments highlight his unwavering commitment to understanding and addressing the unique challenges faced by Indigenous communities.
As one of the Founders and Managing Director of the Mona Aboriginal Corporation, Patrick has translated his passion into meaningful action. This organisation is a trailblazer in Indigenous Youth engagement programs, working tirelessly to create pathways to employment and training opportunities throughout Queensland. Under Patrick's visionary leadership, the Mona Aboriginal Corporation has become a beacon of hope and progress, instilling a sense of unity and purpose within Indigenous communities.
A proud Gungalida man from the Gulf region in Northern Australia, Patrick is dedicated to capacity building and inspiring Indigenous people of all ages to reach their fullest potential. He believes strongly in bridging the gap between tradition and modernity while preserving the rich cultural heritage of Indigenous communities.
